The Retz’s Helmetshrike (Prionops retzii) is a species of bird in the helmetshrike family Prionopidae, formerly usually included in the Malaconotidae.
It is found in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
